The difference between cryptocurrency and token is not understood by everyone, because, despite the similarity of these concepts, they work differently from the algorithm. Cryptocurrencies are used to trade on the exchange of cryptocurrencies and to make different transactions (for example, buying real goods), but the token does not have the same capabilities and therefore cannot act as a means of payment.
Tokens are digital assets that are relevant to a particular project and are launched on a cryptocurrency. For example, based on the Ethereum blockchain platform, you can create ERC20 standard tokens, including the famous USDT stable coin.
